My Dream. My Story

In this series, we set to tell the childhood stories of famous and special personalities who have moved the world in different ways. Stories of children who had dreams and plans, who never gave up and who pushed boundaries. Girls and boys who were talented, courageous, or simply different – who will intrigue both young and old today. With these stories, we aim to inspire young viewers and encourage them to pursue their own dreams and goals.

Surprisingly, it is only in the rarest of cases that we know anything of the childhoods of well-known personalities, but they are often fascinating and ground-laying. Personalities such as Thomas Alva Edison, Nina Simone, Marie Curie, Thor Heyerdahl, Margarete Steiff and Jane Goodall, who represent a variety of backgrounds and career paths.

In elaborately dramatised and partially animated scenes, we dive into the key moments in the childhood and young adult lives of our protagonists and experience how they held tight to their dreams despite all the obstacles placed in their way.

Stories such as these invite tweens (10 to 13 yearsold) to compare themselves and identify with the characters. It is at this age, in particular, that children are seeking out their own path in life. With My Dream. My Storywe want to give tweens a new, different insight into the world of adults, into their own opportunities and also into topics that interest them today, e.g. environmental protection, diversity, equal opportunities. Along with the tweens we are also targeting the parents: the protagonists will probably be well known to them, but not their childhood years.
