25 years of dramatic metamorphosis in Europe following the fall of the Iron Curtain.
The end of communism triggered, overnight, a metamorphosis that not only turned the lives of tens of millions of people behind the Iron Curtain on their heads. A new Europe was created and a change rapidly swept across borders that altered the politics, economy and society of our time. 25 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, we tell the story of a dramatic transformation and its global impact: from the withdrawal of the Red Army, the privatization of “public property”, about the intelligence services and their heritage, and the conflict between national identity and nationalism. The focus is on the personal stories of those who experienced the revolution.
