ZELENSKY – THE DECISIVE YEAR?
“Zelensky – The Decisive Year?” follows Volodymyr Zelensky through a year that pushes him to his political, personal, and moral limits. In 2025, Ukraine suffers under relentless attacks, the army is exhausted, and society is deeply unsettled. At the same time, Zelensky seeks allies between Europe and an unpredictable Washington — in a struggle for weapons deliveries, security guarantees, and a peace framework that preserves Ukrainian sovereignty.
The film portrays Zelensky as a wartime president, strategist, and performer fighting for trust — both at home and on the international stage. Key fault lines emerge openly: disputes over military decisions, the growing concentration of power, and attacks on critical media. Diplomatic shockwaves, abrupt reversals, and frozen talks define a year in which every step forward is immediately thrown into doubt.
International experts provide context: American political scientist Charles Kupchan, security expert Claudia Major, journalist Simon Shuster, Zelensky’s adviser Mykhailo Podolyak, and investigative journalist Denys Bihus illuminate the contradictions of a president navigating between democratic ideals, power struggles, and the daily terror of Russian attacks.
The result is a portrait of a politician balancing warfighting, diplomacy, and democratic dilemmas — and of a nation fighting for its future in the midst of a state of exception.
