The Great War is finally over. A new era is about to start. Amidst the grief, disappointment and old fears, new dreams and hopes are now emerging but so too are new hatreds:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClash of Futures\u201d explores the dramatic era of the 1920s and \u201930s. The eight-part series follows the fates of extraordinary men, women and children from France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Austria, Sweden, Poland and the Soviet Union using their own diary entries, letters and memoirs. These are people drawn into the war by their convictions, who with their loves and decisions bring the history of Europe with all its contradictions to life.<\/p>\n<p>The team around showrunner Jan Peter (\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/looks.film\/en\/14-diaries-of-the-great-war\/\">14 \u2013 Diaries of the Great War<\/a>\u201d) is strengthened by the addition of Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Goupil, co-director of the hugely successful French series \u201cThe Returned\u201d. Together with Jan Peter, he developed and wrote the scripts, and realises them as co-director. Camilla Ahlgren is also joining the team as a co-author.
