Die Zeitzeugen wussten damals nicht wie die Geschichte ausgehen w\u00fcrde. Sie hofften und bangten jeden Tag aufs Neue, oder trafen aufgrund der aktuellen Ereignisse folgenreiche Entscheidungen. Keiner von ihnen ahnte, was das Morgen bringen w\u00fcrde. Oder konnte man doch die Geschichte voraussehen?<\/p>\n<p>Die Dokumentation erm\u00f6glicht einen pers\u00f6nlichen, einen anderen Blick auf die Geschehnisse. Die Basis daf\u00fcr bilden Tageb\u00fccher, Notizen und Briefe &#8211; unter anderem von: Brigitte Reimann, Heinrich Krone, Konrad Adenauer, Walter Kempowski und Hans Werner Richter. Dazu haben wir au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Zeitzeugen interviewt: Ludwig Reimann, der Bruder der Schriftstellerin Brigitte Reimann; der Kameramann Dieter Hoffmann, der die spektakul\u00e4re Flucht des DDR-Polizisten Conrad Schumann filmte und dessen Bilder um die Welt gingen; die Schauspielerin Kati Sz\u00e9kely, die zusammen mit Armin M\u00fcller Stahl in dem ersten Spielfilm \u00fcber die Berliner Mauer \u201eund deine Liebe auch\u201c spielte; und der Fotograf Dietmar Riemann, der noch im September 1989 alles aufgibt und aus der DDR ausreiste, in der Hoffnung auf ein besseres Leben im Westen.<\/p>\n<p>Dabei folgen wir den \u201eMeilensteinen\u201c der Geschichte \u2013 sie bilden jeweils den \u201eroten Faden\u201c, den Countdown bis zum jeweiligen \u201eTag X\u201c.\u00a0 In beiden Episoden beginnt der Countdown genau ein Jahr vor dem Bau und Fall der Mauer. Von hier aus markieren jeweils zehn Meilensteine die wichtigsten Stationen in den n\u00e4chsten 365 Tagen.
