Wir begeben uns auf die Spuren zwischen Mythos und Wahrheit.<\/p>\n<p>Wallis, Herzogin von Windsor war wohl die meist geschm\u00e4hte Frau des 20. Jahrhunderts. Als Ehefrau von Edward VIII, nach seiner Abdankung Herzog von Windsor, war sie bis zum Ende ihres Lebens und auch danach besonders in der britischen \u00d6ffentlichkeit gr\u00f6\u00dfter Verachtung und Hohn ausgesetzt. Die Beleidigungen, die sie erdulden musste, reichten von rechtswidriger Ehe \u00fcber Nymphomanin, Hure bis hin zu einer Sexathletin, die ihr Gewerbe in den Bordellen Chinas gelernt habe. Es wurden Ger\u00fcchte verbreitet, die von der Geheimdienstt\u00e4tigkeit f\u00fcr die Nazis bis hin zu einer Aff\u00e4re mit dem deutschen Nazi-Au\u00dfenminister von Ribbentrop reichten. Selbst im Jahr 2003 tauchten noch Dokumente auf, die behaupteten, Wallis habe 1935 gleichzeitig eine Aff\u00e4re mit dem britischen Thronfolger, sowie einem Autoverk\u00e4ufer gehabt.<\/p>\n<p>Ohne Zweifel, war Wallis der Anlass f\u00fcr die Abdankung von Edward VIII als britischem K\u00f6nig. Aber woher kam diese Abneigung und wie sehr wurde diese von ihrer Schw\u00e4gerin, der Mutter von K\u00f6nigin Elizabeth II, verbreitet? Wie sehr war die Beziehung Edwards mit Wallis Simpson eine gute Gelegenheit f\u00fcr die britische Regierung, sich des unliebsamen Monarchen zu entledigen?<\/p>\n<p>Was ist die Wahrheit?
